As for the 'printer not ready', try going to properties, ports tab, remove check in Enable bidirectional support. Wait a little bit to see if it goes to ready. We have found that as we move forward HP is not making model specific drivers and forcing the use of HPUD. Might try removing each queue one at a time and rebuilding them from scratch using the HPUD. After you have done that to all the queues remove the model specific drivers from the server.

I have a CLP-300 and upgraded the firmware to the new version on their website v1.00.12.35. DON'T DO IT!!! My printer has factory-original toner and this firmware upgrade made my printer a piece of crap. With the new firmware, the text output is much thicker and fuzzier, the nice grayscale contrast is gone and replaced with much darker tones, and there are ERRORS in the graphics that show up as squiggly white lines.

Jul 01, 2014 . Upgraded all jetdirects to their latest firmware, DOWNgraded any jetdirect J7949E on firmware v33.15 to v33.14 (.15 is horribly broken and crashes after a couple of minutes usually). I have enabled SLP protocol on all the print servers, I have then telneted into the jetdirect to set slp-keep-alive (available with the firmware updates) to a value of 2 (2 minutes between slp anouncments). I have changed the MAC age time on all the switches to 900 seconds from the default 300. Jetdirects now announce themselves every 2 minutes stopping the switch forgetting that they exist.
